![]() Many players pushed themselves to collect all the appearances they could before the tower closed. When the Mage Tower closed at the end of Legion, it was firmly established that those rewards would become unavailable. The Timewalking Mage Tower Challenges may be the same as those that players experienced in Legion, but the rewards will be different. While the Challenges were considered quite difficult for most of Legion, we’re tuning the encounters in Timewalking to normalize player power, with the intention of providing a meaningful level of difficulty to current players. Each Challenge comprises a series of solo encounters that must be completely survived to earn rewards, and in Legion Timewalking, they will not require that you have an Artifact, or even that you originally played Legion.“Thwarting the Twins” for Balance Druid, Marksmanship Hunter, Frost Mage Shadow Priest, and Affliction Warlock.“End of the Risen Threat” for Restoration Druid, Mistweaver Monk, Holy Paladin, Holy Priest, and Restoration Shaman.“The Highlord’s Return” for Blood Death Knight, Vengeance Demon Hunter, Guardian Druid, Brewmaster Monk, Protection Paladin, and Protection Warrior.“Feltotem’s Fall” for Beast Mastery Hunter, Windwalker Monk, Discipline Priest, and Destruction Warlock.“The God-Queen’s Fury” for Arcane Mage, Retribution Paladin, Assassination Rogue, Enhancement Shaman, and Demonology Warlock.“An Impossible Foe” for Unholy Death Knight, Feral Druid, Fire Mage, Outlaw Rogue, Elemental Shaman, and Fury Warrior.“Closing the Eye” for Frost Death Knight, Havoc Demon Hunter, Survival Hunter, Subtlety Rogue, and Arms Warrior. The original seven different Challenges (grouped by your specialization’s role) will be available to try repeatedly, for the duration of Legion Timewalking: In Legion Timewalking, the Mage Tower will operate similarly to how it did during Legion. Azeroth’s champions will be able to enter the Mage Tower again. In 9.1.5, Legion Timewalking will become available for the first time, and with Timewalking comes a wondrous way to return to the moments of heroism from the past. When Sargeras was later defeated and dealt his final vengeful blow to Azeroth, the Mage Tower was shut, and it has been inaccessible ever since. I’ll update when it goes on the ptr with initial impressions.Soon after the Burning Legion invaded Azeroth at the Broken Shore, the Alliance and Horde began using the Mage Tower at Deliverance Point for high-end training of their most promising champions. Bonus points for aff since the corruption ring is massive for this challenge and unlike legion you can actually target it now. Doing it correctly I’d guess mm hunter or shadow priest with surrender to madness will probably have the easiest time. If such a strat would work again I’d put my money on venthyr balance druid but if its scaled its gonna be iffy. Twins is probably the one that is least relevant to look at due to class changes since every class eventually outscaled it and had a “cheese” strat where you just burned the boss before the fight got hard. And only because that gives you one “get out of jail card” so you can practice the fight longer, also because once you hit a certain point on the fight its basically over and the bad overlaps just stop happening.Ĭlosing the eye was an interesting one where different classes had different answers to the challenge, in this case I think havoc dh or arms warrior would be the easier ones to do this on if you are comfortable with doing mechanics quickly, alternatively frost dk if you are a bit slow to react and want to play p1 safe. God queen’s fury is a dance so once you know it its forever done, I’d recommend one of the classes available with an immunity ie arcane mage/ret pally. Beyond that sustain helps alot for this one, so uh dk, fury warrior, or feral druid might be good contenders if you want an easier time. For this reason I’d just go with one of the classes that you are comfortable with. Imp: I don’t remember this one too much but I got the impression that it was one of the ones most effected by gear, it was a joke if you outgeared it, but it was a nightmare if you undergeared it since adds got out of hand quickly. Having an interrupt was massive, but also just having damage stuns slows and speed for p1(the phase you spend the most time learning) was actually amazing.įeltotem, it was easy on everything in particular though disc was free since the challenge was scaled for a healer so as long as you don’t let yourself die you win. Healing challenge: I found resto shaman to be surprisingly well suited to the challenge at the time, I say surprisingly because at the time shaman was my least played class by a significant margin. Tank challenge Demon hunter in legion by far the easiest, depending on tuning venthyr prot pally may be able to cheese it.
